The first snow!!

Its the first snow of the year here in Nova Soctia and it came in one big snowstorm. It will be a chilly and snowy winter here.there is about a little less then a knee high of snow here. So this winter if your coming down here this winter wink wink you might want to bring your hat,mittens,boots,snow pants,winteer coat and the rest of your winter clothes !!!!

Cabela's

Well it has been quite some time since we updated our Blog (to say the least). A lot of things have happened since the summer. School has started, Heather and I took a trip to Phoenix and Las Vegas , Emily made the basketball team, Sarah started Brownies, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Deer Season started! Highlight for me was Cabela's. More to come on these items.

It has been a busy start to the Fall to say the least! I am going to turn some of the blog updates over to Emily who has expressed an interest.

Our First Blog

Not to be outdone by the rest of my family, we have created our very first blog! Seeing as we are living near where our ancestors first settled we chose the name, MacCallum Settlement.

We will keep you posted on what's new that is noteworthy. Speaking of that, we just finished a week's camping at Fundy National Park on the shores of the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick. It was our first time there and we had a good time. The weather did not cooperate, rained most of it, but the hiking and camping was great. We will definitely be going back. Although, after the 9km hike I took the family on the first day, it was difficult to get them motivated for more hiking ;-)
